About the College
Sawston Village College is a happy school, a very vibrant and positive place to learn and to work. I feel privileged to lead a staff of very high calibre, whose commitment to the College is evidenced by their hard work and their buoyant good humour.
We believe that all young people can thrive in a school community where they are known, liked, valued and feel safe.
The underpinning ethos of the work of the College is one of clear, positive values, which set the framework for the school's core purpose: high-quality teaching and learning. Predominantly, we wish to offer our pupils the opportunity to achieve the best of which they are capable, academically and as individuals; we are committed, too, to ensuring that they leave the College able to play positive roles in their own communities as active and responsible citizens.
I hope you will gain an overview of the school's work from our website. Should you wish to experience the College's provision for yourself, please contact us and request a tour of the school; we should be delighted to introduce you to the school, its staff and pupils.
