About the Science and Technology Leaders
What is it?
It is a programme of activities set up each year for Year 9 and 10 pupils to develop their leadership skills and extend their learning in a practical way
Why would I like to do it?
The activities are fun, practical and engaging working in teams to develop your skills in lots of ways. It will be a great addition to your CV demonstrating additional responsibilities in the school.
What is involved?
- a range of practical activities to extended learning;
- opportunities may include working with primary school pupils to develop skills, for example problem solving skills;
- support the college to undertake Science and Technology activities;
- enter competitions.
What is my commitment?
One year of activities starting in Year 9 finishing Year 10. You will be expected to demonstrate the following attributes in your work:
Positive attitude, organisation, communication, teamwork, confidence, reliability, enthusiasm, commitment, maturity, initiative, responsibility, effort, safety awareness
What do I get out of it?
