Music

The music department at Sawston Village College has long been regarded as one of the very best in the area and successive inspection reports have drawn attention to its 'very good provision, prevailing passion and outstanding results'Ofsted 2000.

Proud of its inclusive policy, the department teaches in mixed ability groups throughout the age range and follows an essentially practical curriculum. This aims, through a series of integrated projects, to extend the pupils experience in the central activities outlined in the National Curriculum, namely Performing and Composing, Listening and Appraising.
