Physics at work 2009

At the beginning of September a group of year 10 triple scientists were given the opportunity to attend the Physics at Work exhibition at the University of Cambridge Cavendish laboratory. There were many students attending from schools across the country due to the popularity of the event. There were twenty six exhibits this year of which students were able to visit six in half a day. Some of the best exhibits of the day included learning about the science of chocolate and what it is like to be a research scientist living in Antarctica! The day was a great success and enjoyed by all. It also presented some food for thought for those who may consider pursuing a career in science.
